Beyond The Shore

So much of life is lived within the safety of what we can control.  But what if the greatest joys in life actually come from taking a bold and courageous step?  This song is an anthem of choosing to venture out beyond the safety of the shoreline and maybe, just maybe discovering the beauty of living a life trusting God more than our own understanding.  

I started writing this song a few years ago and have gone back to it repeatedly at different moments of each year since.  It continues to morph and take on new realities at each moment that I discover greater levels of trust and faith beyond my present reality. 

For some of us, the “big leap of faith” might actually be a leap into something beyond our current reality.  For others, it actually takes more faith to stay where God has you in this season.  

So my challenge to each of you this year is to be faithful to what God is nudging you towards this year.  I’m praying that this song gives you the courage to leap and the perseverance to endure when He calls you out beyond the shore.

A feeling an urging that I cannot ignore
